Be Still And Know...

Dear Friends,
I wanted to let you know that we are spending some time together as a family this week. Our "getaway" is breathtaking and we are enjoying God's creation like never before. In the past, when we go places, I have some "itinerary" of all the places we have to go or have to take the kids. WE HAVE ZERO PLANS. And I have never been more happier. Right now, as I type, I am enjoying the laughter of my kids and Carlton as they wrestle on the floor. Its so loud and I love every bit of it. I have so much to write and so much to reflect over. Sophie Ann has changed us, every fiber of our being. She was truly a gift from above. I will write more.. like I said, there is so much I want to say and share with you all. We will also do our best to get the power point and picture slide show on the blog. We have had so many people ask to see it. Please pray for us this week. Pray that our nights would be peaceful.

Its always amazing how much we can learn from small children. And even more when do allow ourselves to Be Still and See what God has done in our lives. I know God is and will continue using your precious family as a blessing and inspiration for others. Please know you are in our prayers. We love you and think of you often.

Hey Aimee and Carlton. You don't know me but I'm friends with the Terrell's and found your blog through their's. We just lost our second baby at 14 weeks. I was induced and delivered on December 10th. I agree so much with what you said about it changing everything. You're different when your child dies. Everything takes on new meaning. I'm sad for you and crying for you. The nights and early mornings were/are they hardest for me, too. I'm so sorry your precious baby girl is gone but so thankful you had some good time with her and that she is perfect and healthy in the arms of Jesus right now. I wish I could've held my baby longer than the few minutes I did. I will be praying for you and your family. I've found great comfort in reading Shatterd Dreams by Larry Crabb. It may be helpful for you, too.

Carlton and Aimee,
I am praying for you guys and Hannah Grace and Noah. It was so great to see the sure hope and peace that the Lord can bring through Sophie's sweet life and death. It is not always that way as you guys both knew at my dad's funeral. I am so thankful for you both, and that the Lord allowed Sophie to touch my heart so much.
Hope this week was great!
